Stéphane Rolland - Haute Couture Autumn/ Winter 2014/15 Collection
At Stéphane Rolland, a short film and an exhibition showcase the creations and their prowess. Stéphane Rolland is innovative in how he presents next winter’s haute couture collection, through a short film created by Diane Sagnier with the heroine played by Nieves Alvarez and the participation of Jalil Lespert. This creates a statuesque fashion that showcases slender silhouettes where, against a backdrop of netting, Stéphane Rolland unveils the body. Hand-painted Japanese motifs enhance the sheath dresses. Blood red velvet captures the camera, forming an evanescent skirted silhouette. A black tie essence is rediscovered through a slender slit bustier dress, or a dress with voluminous tails. By showing this film, the couturier explores new ways of exhibiting his work, more as a new communication tool than as a simple sales catalogue. The clothes allow us to understand the character and give the heroine all of her personality. But of course, it is always the dresses that remain the stars at Stéphane Rolland.
